Meet the Staff

We understand how important is for you to feel at ease and as comfortable as possible when you are in a dental office, that is why our staff has been carefully chosen to reflect the congenial and personal nature of the practice. We will do our best to assist you with answers to questions, scheduling, billing, insurance and administrative concerns. An open mind and a smile are a permanent quality to our staff. Angel Baker — Implant Coordinator

I was born and raised in Texas just south of Ft. Worth in the small town of Cleburne – which is not so small anymore!! My husband, Blake, and I live in Trophy Club with our son Jack.

I have been in dentistry for 16 years. I began as a dental assistant in a general office for 2 years, then moved to Dallas and spent 3 years in endodontics before coming to our office in 1996.

Krista, our patient care coordinator, and I actually met each other and became good friends while working in the same endodontic office 13 years ago. As luck would have it, we both made the transition to this office within 6 months of each other and have been “partners in crime” ever since!

I absolutely love my job and position here in our office and we, as a team, will make every effort to make your visits with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Krista Brockway — Patient Care Coordinator

I was born in Kansas and have lived a number of places following my father’s military career. Texas has been my home for the past 25 years and I was raised in Mesquite where I attended Mesquite High School, playing volleyball all 4 years and later going on to attend the Texas College for Dental Careers.

My husband, Thomas, and I have known each other for 25 years. We became good friends thru junior high and high school, and later married in 1995. Our home is in Poetry with our daughter, Gracey.

Most of my time away from work is spent with my family, and our horses. We enjoy traveling on the weekends competing in rodeos and roping competitions.

I have worked in the periodontal field for the past 15 years, all of which have been with this practice! I started as a surgical assistant for the first 8 years and later became patient care coordinator. I have met some wonderful patients over the years and have developed great friendships with them. I enjoy working in dentistry and will be more than happy to help with any questions that you may have during your treatment here in our office. I look forward to meeting you!

Susan Moore — Hygienist

I grew up in Michigan and excelled in tennis, volleyball and golf at my high school in Coldwater where I graduated in 1977. In January 2004, I was inducted into the Michigan Athletic Hall of Fame – which was quite an honor!

I attended dental hygiene school in Big Rapids and graduated in 1979. Shortly after, I moved to Texas and have been with our office for 23 years.

I am very passionate about the outdoors and wildlife. My hobbies include mostly outdoor activities and photography. I am single and share my home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, fish and birds!

I look forward to meeting you and assisting you with your oral health.

Cynthia Ornelas — Surgical Assistant

I was born in Texas, then moved to Mexico and lived with our extended family there until 1995 at which time we returned to Texas.

My family is very close and we enjoy getting together weekly for dinners, cookouts, concerts – you name it! Having been raised within a mix of 2 cultures, my dream would be to travel more extensively and experience even more of the world.

I have worked in dentistry for 6 years and have been with Dr. Tanur since 2005. I enjoy being a part of our team and can assure the best of care for you, your family and friends!
